Father help this pastor to celebrate Easter joyfully today. As he reflects on the injustice done to Jesus, may he find solace, knowing that Jesus is with him and understands, and that he will be victorious.

Father in heaven, our hearts hurt for this man who is suffering for the good cause of the message of Jesus. Please, Lord, help him, sustain him, give him peace within those walls, and provide a way for his faith to not fail. Please Lord in your good time, release him and allow him the joy of strengthening others with his testimony.

Lord I lift up Pastor Avedian to you. I pray he will find peace and rest in you while serving this harsh sentence. May he physically,emotionally, and spiritually be strengthened for this trial. May his family find comfort in knowing he is suffering for you. Give them strength to endure, provide for their needs, and if possible shorten his time. Amen!

Father, please grant grace and peace to Pastor Avedian who is now serving a 10 year sentence at one of Iran's most notorious prisons. Grant him a platform in which to share the gospel throughout this prison such that many previously without hope would now be radically saved and share their faith boldly with other inmates and prison officials, amen.
