Comfort and strengthen these precious survivors who are now facing life without their husbands and fathers. Provide for them. Be the strong tower they run to when faced with persecution and danger. Deliver them from all kinds of evil and send them advocates who will share the burdens of life as well as the cost of following Christ. men

Let these children understand that their fathers were brave and that they can be as well and willsee their fathers again in heaven. Heal hearts and minds.

Gracious Lord God, the attacks on innocent Christian families in sub-Saharan Africa are extremely troubling. May they be ended. Please help Alimata who has been bereaved and traumatized. Bring her deep spiritual healing. Speak reassurance and trust to her. Let your Spirit remind her of the Scriptures she knows. Heal the trauma of each of these women.

Father, it was not your will that these men were brutally murdered. Add my prayer to those men in the cloud of witnesses who are certainly interceding for each wife left behind. That they would find provision, safety, shelter, a place to grieve, and your comfort.
